what do you do if your gingerbread doug is to hard from fridge?

i have made my dough and put it in the fridge to set but when i have taken it out it is to hard and wont roll and some bits are breaking of how do i safe it?

Heat it in the microwave. It softens the dough, and is really good. You gave to heat it every couple of minutes so the dough doesn't go hard.

Mine did this too...I just kneaded it for a bit and it comes together nicely. I think the butter gets softened again and it brings it together.
