Sturdiness during construction

by Andrea

I have a group of girls coming over to my house to make gingerbread houses out of graham crackers. Is there some way of helping the walls stay upright while the icing dries so nothing topples over?

What a great get-together!
Try using boxes or blocks of wood inside and slip out when the 3rd wall is secure. Or lift out (a bit more difficult) when the 4th wall has set.
I've also seen folks using canned food to lean against both sides of each wall to stabilize.
Have fun! Georganne

Keeping walls up
by: Anonymous

I used canned good to keep the walls up while the icing dried so they would stay upright.
