Preservation of Gingerbread House

by Dean Williams
(New York)

Hello. My question is, how long will a gingerbread house last, in a pantry. I'm making one in the middle of October, and I won't need it until the middle of December. Will it last? Will it be edible? Do I have to freeze it?

Thank You

I have made gingerbread houses months in advance and as long as you keep it in a cool, dry place and covered with a box (not plastic) or some other covering, it would last....no problem. And, it would still be edible, I'm sure. You never know till you try.
