fondant characters

I made fondant characters out of rice crispie treats and covered them with royal icing. Was that a mistake? Can I cover them with fondant? How long will they keep? Can I refrigerate of freeze to store them?

crispy treats

I was advised to crush the crispies before making the treats. I did this and you get a much smoother finish! Hope this helps you!

by: Anonymous

I tried the same, but covered in the fondant.... that was also not a great plan as the figure came out lumpy.
Dont know if i made the crispy treats correctly?
