Does a gingerbread house stay edible after traveling with sealed box

I got a gift from my friends who had been travelling and came to Dubai .it was a gingerbread house but my friends mother she recommends not to eat it because they had traveled a lot and had been kept in humid places at times.today about 2 weeks after buying date I decided to make it.is it still edible(has been checked in at airport and had been in the airline storage)
