Bleeding colors

Your candies are bleeding because the icing is wet and when it comes in contact with the candy colors they run. Try painting your gingerbread surface with corn syrup and letting it dry a few minutes before applying candy. It will be tacky enough to hold the candy but not super wet. Good luck!
