Need Advice 4 Gingerbread House Library

Hi:
I am making a gingerbread house for our school. The house will have a library with library books (I hope!). We would like to make books and bookcases for the library in the house. Any ideas or advice on how to make the books and the book cases for the library? Thanks so much. Kim

I found that using gum paste, which hardens quickly, is the best medium. I've also used marzipan (for the books only) or fondant. Both hold up pretty good. Hope this helps
