Junkyard Clock

Junkyard Clock

Junkyard Clock

Junkyard Clock was my First Place/Blue Ribbon prizewinner in the Peddlar's Village, Bucks County PA, gingerbread art contest. The Clock took me over 60 hours to make over two months' time. My inspiration was my grandfather's old mantel clock. I imagined what the clock might look like if a family of mice made the clock their home.

I love gingerbreading. The challenge of replicating details with food items is great fun. And, gingerbread art creates such magic when people see it over the holidays--a magic that cannot be measured--and you feel such pride in watching people enjoy your work.

I hope you'll enjoy my work.
