how do i get it to stay up?

I bought this mold for ginger bread house. It's so cute and I'm having a party for kids. It will be an activity for them but I can't find an easy way to get it to stay up. I tried frosting - It didn't stick - then marshmallow fluff - it stayed longer but fell. How do I get it to stay up and make it fun with the kids, not difficult? Help!

Royal Icing is the traditional gingerbread "glue"
by: Kelly

Frosting or things like "Fluff" do not dry firm/stiff and, therefore, do not make good gingerbread glue. Royal Icing, typically made from powdered sugar and egg whites, is the traditional glue. See this page for several recipes:

Another alternative that works great is chocolate melts. You can buy them at your local craft store. You just melt them (carefully not to over-cook) and then pipe them onto the gingerbread pieces like glue.
