My gingerbread is getting humidity and getting soft then falling apart how can I prevent it getting humidity

Use construction grade gingerbread!

I had an extremely humid year once, and my walls buckled--so HORRIBLE! I had to bake a couple walls again, and I baked them longer so they would dry out more. But since then, I have changed recipes. There are several online for tougher gingerbread that is more stable and doesn't have those issues. It is also not very good to eat, so keep that in mind. If you want yummy gingerbread, keep the house small, because it's generally not as tough!
