This is my first attempt at a gingerbread house, I made it a couple of weeks before xmas and then my dad helped me transport it for a half hour drive to my dancing wind-up where it was devoured by many small children.
It may not be perfect, but it was a lot of fun to make and is actually a scale model of my house minus the veranda. I especially enjoyed making the windows so that the light would shine through and experimenting with roofing materials. The roof is fruit rollups which I used because our house has a tin roof not tiles. I actually quite like the bright stripey effect I ended up with.
