Eugenia's Place
by Isabel Rovelli Hernandez
This little cottage looks like it was baked in a kitchen in Germany, where gingerbread houses originated, but instead was baked in Mar Del Plate, Republic Argentina( South America)this Christmas,December, 2010. Because this an european custom, and also made in America; neither the entire family, including Eugenia nor her children (Chiara 6 and Valentino 4) have ever seen a gingerbread house. The project was done as a team effort, and in secret, in the kitchen of the grandparents ( Martha & Angel). I have been working several days and many hours of intense work until the project was completed. Christmas day was different at home, had a magical touch for everyone's harts. Family and friends gather together in the kitchen and dinning room to view the house. The effect was reflected in everybody faces!!!! It was fantastic! The joy of exchanging this experience with family and friends is a remarkable experience. |
