Easy Peasy Gingerbread Construction

Most people don't eat their houses, they're just for decoration. The fun is in eating the goodies as you go. I have found that hot gluing the houses ahead of time is a fantastic way to save time and frustration. It dries quickly and is completely secure.

Glue doesn't hold with graham crackers
by: Amy

I was at my daughter's school today and they made gingerbread houses. The teacher used a hot glue gun to make very small houses for the first graders. Just four walls and an angled roof made from graham crackers. Almost all the houses fell apart. My daughter's was fine, but by the time we got home, it collapsed. I was the one who carefully held the house all the way home, so it wasn't because it got bumped or anything.
