Collapsing Ginger Bread House

by Sophie
(London )

I am in a ginger bread house competition this year, only with my partners family however although it is a bit of fun, I am adamant about winning and what they don't know is that I have a different structured house to them and I want it to look the best, so last night I started to assemble my house with royal icing however the pieces of the house that were shop bought are quite thing and the house assembled perfectly. It was probably my fault as I got carried away instead of letting the house set over night I started on the roof and it started to cave in! So I took the roof off and let the rest of the house dry over night and this morning I put the two roof pieces together as I noticed when I put them on the house they were sliding away. So hopefully they stick together and then once they are dried I can place them on the roof. Has anyone got any tips or tricks for me as I really want to win this competition!
