Eggless, White Chocolate, Morello Cherry and Coconut
I made an eggless cake using melted white chocolate, morello cherries and coconut and considered how I could represent what was inside the cake using various edible "clays" as they are known. In creating a design, I wanted to do more than just cover a cake with sugar paste as I love using melted chocolate.
I decided to melt white chocolate, sprinkle coconut and use red sugar paste to drape and wrap around the cake. It was then sprinkled with hologram edible dust. My last problem was representing the cherries. So I made the cherries with sugarpaste and stalks with edible rice paper and black piping icing.
To add some beauty I felt that rose buds that were dusted with this pretty hologram edible dust would be effective. Enjoy and feast your eyes as it was enjoyed by all. I was told the topping was like eating nice fudge and the cake was so moreish.
