My friend loves pigeons, so we thought it would be good to make him a cake of his favourite pigeon. I learned that his pigeon came first in a race so I quickly printed off a 1st ribbon and pinned it on the fondant pigeon for a personal touch.

how i made it

Hi, the cake itself is a basic chocolate sponge. I covered the cake in blue icing and piped on the trees in the coloured icing. The pigeon is made from fondant with modelling powder added to make it dry. And then it was jus a case of modelling the body and let it set a bit. I rolled out grey fondant and cut the wings and stuck them on with sugar glue. The eyes, beak, and feet are all coloured fondant. And then its a point of putting the bird together
